Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to offer my thanks to (Doctor) Mr Lindsay Morrison and the team that works with him for making my visits to the urology dept to treat my condition (bladder cancer) as bearable as possible. The last couple of procedures have been at the New Victoria Hospital. The same thanks to Specialist Nurse Liz Norris who administers my treatments at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. I am aware that the original doctor who was treating me (Dr Aktar) has had a bit of bad luck with his own health and I wish him a speedy recovery. This is just a short note to say "thank you " to the folks mentioned above as your professionalism and good natures have helped me a enormously and it is very much appreciated. The NHS in general we all know is underfunded and often gets a "bad press" ...mostly undeserved, but without the you guys we would all be goosed. They don't get thanked enough for working under pressure. Once again "Many Thanks for your help".

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - My brother was rushed in to A&E eight weeks ago. Between the ambulance crew and Resus they saved my brother’s life. He's home now. The care from start to finish was out of this world.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I am just out after a hernia operation and from the moment I went into southern general hospital may I say the level of care I received was fantastic it was being run like a well oiled machine the staff were so kind the doctors superb only complaint I have was the food yuk well done to all.

Golden Jubilee National Hospital - I came out ward 2d on 22Nov 16 after getting a cardio ablation. I would just like to comment on the great care from Doctors, nurses, auxiliary staff and all concerned. We are so blessed and lucky that we have professional people to help us in time of need that are so compassionate, skilled and dedicate. Thank you for all your help having this procedure done.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to praise the ongoing care and support a relative is receiving in Ward 4B1. The nurses are great with said relative, and the doctors have also been on the ball with her care. My perceptions of the QEUH have changed for the better thanks to the staff!

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Couldn't have asked for better care for our Mum who was looked after in her final week by the amazing staff, the Registrar/Dr? (who was so patient at explaining things to my sister who was having difficulty in coming to terms with Mum's imminent death) as well as the helpfulness of all the catering and cleaning staff. We are a big family who visited daily at all hours and we never felt anything was a bother or inconvenience to any of them even though they were busy with their job and other patients. Without their care and compassion towards us, as well as our Mum at this difficult time it would have been a lot more difficult for us to deal with. Our Mum passed away nearly 9 months ago we have not forgot how precious those last days were and the kindness, care and compassion shown by all the staff on the High Dependency Unit. I hope they get recognised for their hard work and dedication because it certainly made a difference to us.

Victoria Hospital (New) - Appointment for ultrasound scan on 20/11/16 at 11:30 hrs. The appointment took place exactly on time, took just under the allocated appt time and the staff (Adele and Lisa) were extremely helpful and very informative. All round, a very well run and efficient service from arrival to departure. Well done NHS Scotland particularly the staff in the ultrasound imaging dept at New Victoria Hospital. I was impressed.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I was in you A&E dept on sat 26/11/2016 very ill and I must say what an amazing bunch of staff that seen me right away. I was kept till  I was stable (which took a good few hours). Told everything that was and could happen, then sent me to ward 43a. As I have been a patient in grip since age of 13. I have been in a lot of wards and meet a lot of staff, but never staff like I did in 43a.  One word AMAZING! Nothing was a problem very helpfully cheery. You could ask anything and they would help and be honest. Even the doctors were very down to earth and easy to talk to. So please if possible send on my good wishes and please let them all know what amazing people they are and a very merry Xmas to you all xxx

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was in ward 67 for 10 days. The treatment and care I received was excellent. All staff was caring and helpful from domestics to consultants. I was not looking forward to my stay because of past experience in years past. Ward 67 has a great team of staff that work as a caring team. Thank you.

Victoria Hospital (New) - Excellent treatment in the Minor Injuries Dept after a fall on ice at our front steps. The care and attention I received was outstanding. Thank you.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was delighted to be wheeled around by a female porter who was interested and caring.  Such a change from my inpatient stay of last year when I was quite horrified at the total inability of the male porter to speak for me when I needed help and felt unable to speak for myself. I think this lady's name was Michelle. Anyway what a great improvement.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - My mum recently left ward 27 and after chatting with her and my family, I felt this necessary. The staff treated and cared for her fantastically. Myself and my dad were highly impressed by the care she received especially on the night she took very unwell on the ward. The nurse Karen and her student, who were on, were very hands on and very attentive. The student made us refreshments and regularly checked on us; both of them were very friendly and genuinely seemed to care. It was refreshing to see. Unfortunately we never got a chance to say thank you. However I feel praise is justified. My mum is now doing well. Thank you.

Vale of Leven District General Hospital - Had cataract surgery. The whole team were just fantastic.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Would just like to praise all of the staff on ward7B. My elderly father was admitted to hospital through referral from GP, AMRU then ward 7b. Through the whole journey, ALL staff was professional and very caring towards my dad. It has been a difficult time for the family but the standard of care was fantastic.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - all staff could have not been more helpful when I was in for 2 days for knee operation thanks.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - Referred by GP for X-ray. Checked in at 9.30am Left after X-ray at 9.45am. Wow! Took me longer to find a parking place!

Stobhill Hospital (New) - I had a colonoscopy yesterday and the staff, from the moment I arrived, were fantastic. They put me at my ease and the care I received from Tricia McKenna and her team was wonderful. The care after the procedure was second to none. I don't think I could have been better looked after anywhere. Thank you.

Victoria Hospital (New) - I’ve been attending this hospital for over a year now most Fridays due to an eye condition. I've had first class treatment from day one I'm glad you can leave positive comments on here because you always hear about the bad ones but never hear all the good that doctors and the medical team do keep up the good work guys your doing an amazing job especially my doctor Dr Williams .

Gartnavel General - I recently had my gallbladder removed and would like to say that the care from all staff from start to finish was amazing. My only experiences have been at another hospital and I have to say Gartnavel staff are miles ahead in patient care.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - My care from day admission to surgery for my total knee replacement right up to my current stay in ward 10a has been outstanding. The nurses, surgeon, anaesthetic team are superb. We should be proud to have such dedicated professionals looking after us.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Can't praise all of the staff highly enough. Doctors, nurses and domestic staff were all great.

Victoria Hospital (New) - I discovered a lump in my breast and immediately contacted my GP surgery for an appointment; the doctor done an examination and referred me to the Victoria Infirmary Glasgow Breast clinic. I was offered an initial appointment within 2 weeks. I was seen by a doctor and at the clinic a junior doctor was also present which I was more than happy for them to be there as this enables the new doctors to learn. I was referred onto the scan unit that day and had my scan and biopsy. The nurse present and doctor who performed the biopsy were both excellent and extremely calming in a difficult time for myself. I then met with my doctor again that day and was advised that it didn't look malignant however they would have the full results within 1 week. I arranged an appointment with the administration staff for the following week. At my return appointment it was confirmed as benign. I have been referred to general surgery to have this lump removed - this has been arranged for mid-December. I have had my pre-op assessment this week both with a nurse and doctor - again an excellent service. All of the above and subsequent operation will have all taken place within 2 months of discovering this lump. I honestly couldn't fault the amazing services from the GP receptionists; GP; Administration staff, Nurses and Doctors at the Victoria Infirmary - I feel so blessed to live in a country that offers the NHS services we have and more recognition is deserved.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I was admitted to A&E by ambulance and I have to say that the treatment I got from the paramedics to the hospital porters was first class .The treatment I received from the staff and doctors in CCU and ward 8 was of the highest standard .I wish to congratulate all involved for their care and dedication thank you.

Stobhill Hospital (New) - Admitted for day surgery on 16/11/2016. Cannot thank the staff enough, made me feel completely at ease and always acted in a professional manner. Stobhill is not the usual hospital I visit as I had to see a specialist who worked from there, but the experience and care I received at Stobhill was far superior to any other hospital I have been in before.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I recently was in your hospital from the 8th of November to the 15th of November and cannot praise the staff enough for the care and attention shown towards me it was much appreciated I was in ward 7a room 24.

West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Glasgow - I attended WGAC on 17th October for a bone density (DEXA) scan. I was very impressed by the pleasantness and helpfulness of staff and the whole atmosphere of the department. In particular I was impressed by Nurse Margaret French who saw me after my scan. She explained everything very clearly and went through details of the scan with me afterwards including showing me the actual scans. It is rare to actually see scans for oneself and this was very helpful. She also discussed medication with me, and when I told her that I was vegan she showed me a list of all the different calcium medications with details of ethical criteria. I have never come across this before in the NHS, or indeed anywhere, and it was extremely useful. I came away feeling well informed and that I had been very well cared for.

Mearnskirk House - I have been visiting my aunt for a long while now in Mearns Kirk, where sadly she passed away very recently. I want to express my thanks to every single member of staff from the Senior Charge Nurse, Medical staff and to the fantastic caring professional Staff Nurses and Auxiliary Nurses within the Millbrae ward, the care here is second to none, the patients are all very well cared for night and day ,the staff have a very demanding job and they do it so well, always with a smile for everyone. It saddens me to think this facility will eventually close because the service is invaluable for patients and indeed their carers. I am not in the nursing profession although I work for the NHS only in a clerical role and have been on many different wards /environments but I think Mearns Kirk is an amazing hospital. Spotlessly clean, very welcoming, totally caring, the staff are amazing, thank you so much for caring for my aunt, and for the way in which you helped us all through a very sad and difficult time. Please pass on my sincere thanks to the Senior Charge Nurse and all of the team.

Stobhill Hospital - I attended the minor injuries department on 9th November 2016 after having tripped and fallen in the street. I was seen to very quickly and I wish to say that I was treated with kindness and courtesy from beginning to end. The main treatment was carried out by a male whose name I know but I understand I am not allowed to identify him. Let me just say that I could not have had better treatment. thank you.

Glasgow Dental Hospital - I attended the dental hospital in Glasgow today having been referred there through NHS 24. I was so impressed by the high level of care I received. Everyone, from receptionist, dental nurse and dentist were fantastic. I was seen on time, or just before, all staff were friendly, professional and efficient. The dentist Ian explained everything to me and dealt with my condition quickly and very effectively. I could not be more grateful! What a fantastic service.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - I had a day hospital appointment at Endoscopy unit in IRH 24th October I was nervous about the Colonoscopy, but all the staff were very reassuring, excellent and efficient.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I wish to congratulate the Hospital staff and volunteers for a very positive experience I had yesterday when I was an out-patient in the Neurology Dept. I was greeted at the front entrance and offered assistance immediately. It was my first visit so I was naturally apprehensive. I was escorted to the Dept., and was seen very promptly. I then had to undergo further tests in different areas of the building. When I explained that I had to catch a plane back to Campbeltown that afternoon, I was seen quickly and at no point did I have to wait very long. I am very grateful for the thorough and kind treatment I received from all staff I met. I made it to the airport on time and am now safely home in Campbeltown. Thank you all for a very pleasant hospital experience.

Glasgow South - Attended an appointment at Bridgeton Health Centre and the practice nurse was fantastic. She spent time talking to me about health choices and at no point did I feel rushed out the door. I was given the right prescription after weighing up options and having risks and advantages fully explained to me. Received excellent service.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to praise the staff within the CT scanning department , I was anxious despite having retired from a nursing career that lasted for 33 years , when you are on the other side it's totally different , I could not have met a nicer , more compassionate and helpful group of people trained and untrained , they put me at ease and explained all about what was going to happen and what to expect during and post procedure , Their attention to infection control was exemplary. Thank you so much.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I can only say that the staff at ward 56 at the GRI are amazing every single staff member are so nice can’t help enough. Xxx

Stobhill Hospital (New) - My wife was a patient on ward C at Stobhill from 24th July to 16th August 2016; she received an exceptionally high standard of care and kindness throughout her stay. A large number of staff were involved and without exception they exceeded our expectations in all aspects of care treating her with dignity and respect. The hard work, by the ward staff, making arrangements for her post discharge care was remarkable. After her stay in Glasgow Royal we wouldn't have thought it was possible for two wards to give such different standards of care. At all times, we were kept fully informed of her progress and shown great consideration and kindness by all staff. Although my wife got her wish to come home to die, she was sad to leave ward C and the fantastic staff and extraordinary care. The staff on ward C are a credit to not just NHS Glasgow and Clyde but to NHS Scotland.

Stobhill Hospital (New) - Had sigmoidoscopy today and Dr and all clinic staff been great at making you feel comfortable. Wish all clinics had such lovely staff.

Vale of Leven District General Hospital - Had a minor operation today at Day Surgery, Vale of Leven Hospital. I have nothing but praise for all the amazing nurses there who took care of me during my time there. Very professional, caring and attentive. Also to the surgical team, who were excellent?

Stobhill Hospital (New) - This feedback is on behalf of my elderly father who recently attended an ophthalmology appointment at Stobhill day surgery. On the run up to this appointment he was extremely anxious about attending due to his past experiences in hospital but from the minute he arrived until he left the care he received from all the nurses and theatre staff was fantastic, two nurses named Audrey and Gillian were lovely kind and cheery and kept my dad in good spirits, even though they were visibly busy they still made sure my father was comfortable while waiting and took the time to put his mind at ease. another nurse Nicole who I feel deserves recognition also went above and beyond her duty in caring for my father, the kindness respect and compassion this young girl showed my father was outstanding and he couldn't speak more highly of your staff, you are all a credit to the NHS. I cannot thank all of you enough for making my dad’s visit as comfortable as possible and changing his outlook on attending his future appointments.

Victoria Hospital (New) - The staff in Clinic F were fantastic. So helpful, friendly and reassuring.

Royal Hospital for Children - I would like to thank the staff at the sick kids for making my little boys hospital appointment such a positive experience. Everyone was so friendly and warm from the consultant to the reception staff and the staff in the teddy hospital. It means that bringing him back for his operation won’t be as daunting to him. Thanks.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I attend Glasgow Royal Infirmary's anticoagulant clinic, I have attended for many years. The staff at the clinic are fantastic; they are very professional and explain everything to you in a way that you understand. My only criticism is that despite the best efforts of your fantastic staff the waiting time can be overwhelming especially if you are ill. It would be easier on the staff if you could provide another specialist nurse in the clinic. Other than the sometimes long wait at the clinic your anticoagulant clinic is a well run machine.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to take the time to thank all the staff that saved my life and help rebuild it. As modern and gadget filled our new hospital is it is nothing without the dedicated professional staff that spend their days helping others. They are a credit to your profession and the NHS so for all the staff at A&E and resus I thank you for everyone in HDU I thank you and for all the staff at ward 7d from the bottom for my heart I thank you. They have put me back with my family.

Victoria Hospital (New) - Hi I wanted to commend the Minor Injuries Unit at the Victoria ACH. I was treated there on 23rd October after falling off my bike. I received excellent and timely care from the staff in particular ENP L Pearson who sutured my cut arm with great skill. He put my wife and I at ease and was very talkative. I re-attended the Minor Injuries clinic 2 days later for a wound check and again received excellent care. Many thanks.

Royal Alexandra Hospital - I’ve been a frequent patient of the X-ray dept following a serious accident. ALWAYS, the staff have been so kind and reassuring from an hour after my accident to nearly 10 months after. Always cheery, polite and professional. Many thanks.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - My wife (who is a kidney transplant patient and recently has had to start using Insulin) attended the outpatients at Inverclyde Hospital with myself in tow, the introduction by Dorothy on learning about diabetes and Insulin was very good. Indeed I am the carer and Husband.

Inverclyde Royal Hospital - I would like to give you some feedback in regards to a member of staff whom I recently encountered upon my stay in IRH. I was a patient in H South undergoing a routine operation & was sharing a ward with an elderly lady who had been given some upsetting news by a member of staff who was rather abrupt with her. Another member of staff, Kayrn noticed this & took the time out of her busy day to actually sit down with the lady & discuss how she was feeling & comforted her. I was really impressed with how Kayrn dealt with the situation & showed real compassion & empathy. She was also a great help to me when I returned to the ward from my operation, helping me to get settled & as comfortable as possible. I would be grateful if this feedback could be passed on as she is a real asset to the ward.

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I was a recent patient ward 63, the staff and nursing care was exceptional. The reassurance and care given by theatre staff was also excellent and very much appreciated. This surgery and experience was made so much easier for me with the excellent care and support provided by all of the extremely hard working staff in ward 63 and theatre staff. Thank you very much.
