Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I recently had knee surgery in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Contrary to the bad publicity the hospital has had recently, I must admit that my experience was good. The staff were brilliant, very attentive and caring and they were very easy to talk to. The only negative was that my room/ hospital was extremely warm (25 C) and no way of getting any sort of cool air to circulate. Thank you for taking such good care of me!!!!
Stobhill Hospital ( New ) - I was greeted and treated very professionally by a male nurse Billy who made me feel welcome and comfortable throughout my short stay. All of the staff who I had contact with Maggie , Holly and Teresa there may have been more that I've not mentioned so apologies due to the aesthetic should be praised due to their professionalism and friendliness in making this nervous patient feel at ease. It can be extremely difficult in maintaining a very high level of service to the general public whilst carrying out your duties but these guy's managed it with ease well done to you all and thank you for exceeding your duty of care Eric Cochrane
Stobhill Hospital (New) - I had an appointment today 29thJune @1215 for a CT scan at the new Stobhill hospital and had a very positive experience. I was welcomed at reception taken very quickly into the waiting room and taken for my scan right on time. I would like to thank the staff on shift for their care and kindness. William McLaren put in my cannula an experience I dread. He put me at ease with his good humoured chat and was very gentle putting in the cannula the same when removing it. The radiographer was also very kind and chatty again putting me at ease an explaining exactly want was going to happen and the sensation that would occur with the contrast. I am sorry I have not remembered his name but please pass on my thanks. The appointment was seemed less and I did not have to wait at all. The department and toilets were also spotless. Please pass on my thanks to everyone today for such excellent care.
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I am having treatment at the moment for cancer. I attended A&E last Saturday afternoon. A practise nurse called Anne Moran attended to me. I had tripped and had a large skin flap on my shin. She attended to the skin flap but when she seen how ill I was feeling as a result of chemotherapy she spoke to the doctor and arranged extra anti sickness drugs and a saline drip for me. I would like to say thank you to her as she greatly impressed both myself and my husband
Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Rheumatology - I am waiting on an appointment for orthopaedic but due to extreme pain and lack of mobility I called and asked orthopaedic nursing staff to help me out with a pair of crutches. The staff were extremely helpful and gave me a pair for which I am very grateful. Thank you to the nurse at fractures for your help.
Royal Hospital for Children - I would just like to thank all the hospital staff for the great care they provided my son from the moment he arrived at A & E until his discharge 10 days later every staff member we encountered throughout the hospital the whole time where all very pleasant and so courteous towards us I don't think we would have gotten through this difficult time without their support A massive THANK YOU to all who work within the children's hospital
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I have nothing but praise for your anticoagulant clinic within Glasgow Royal Infirmary. I attend the Thursday afternoon clinic and the staff are fantastic, they are extremely professional and make you feel at ease whatever your INR. The staff at GRI anticoagulant clinic are definitely an asset to the NHS and worth their weight in gold.
Royal Hospital for Children - My daughter recently broke her arm, resulting in us attending the children’s A&E dept. I cannot thank the staff enough for the time and patience they had to make us all feel at ease, both within the A&E dept and X-ray Dept. The waiting time was very minimal, we were seen straight away. once again thank you for all the hard work and looking after my daughter so well!
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Received excellent care and attention from first class team
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I just want to say thanks to ambulance service, A&E staff and ward 61 staff. Had a fall on 26th May, ambulance attended, assessed and took me to A&E where found to have two broken ankles plus break in one foot. Treatment was exemplary throughout and staff were attentive and caring, as well as cheerful, in each dept. I had to stay overnight for pain management and assistance to walk with boots following day. I experienced treatment and attention from staff in seven different areas of care and cannot thank them enough. I feel very proud of our NHSGGC and very thankful for all the help and care I received
Royal Hospital for Children - I would just like to take this opportunity to praise the staff in the neonatal units both level 1 and 2. The staff have been absolutely brilliant at looking after my newborn baby and helping to explain things well so I felt fully informed on every procedure and diagnosis that was made for my baby. Nicola on level 1 neonatal and Kelly on level 2 have been such a massive help to me over the last few days and I can't thank them enough. They are an absolute credit to this Hospital!

Royal Alexandra Hospital, Psychiatry - We had a really positive experience at Dr Sharma's memory clinic, he listened, gave us information the treatment was excellent.
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I have temporary mobility difficulties, and the man with the stop/go paddle at car park P2 was very helpful yesterday in pointing out a parking space on the ground floor for me. However, I found your map quite confusing, as it identifies neurology and maternity outpatients' departments, but not other outpatients - I needed orthopaedics, for example, and was glad to find it in the main building, not too far a walk.
Royal Hospital for Children - I would like to commend all the staff on ward 1A and B for taking such good care of my daughter whilst she was having surgery. The care was person centred and every single member of staff was caring to not only my daughter but to her parents as well. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful service.
Royal Hospital for Children - Amazing experience with Tickles the clown! Made my son’s day, such a special lady with an amazing talent! thank you
Royal Hospital for Children - My son was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease but the paediatric dieticians. At the time of diagnosis they explained everything to my son and made him feel confident enough to change his diet and get rid of the symptoms that he was dealing with every day. Follow and advice has been excellent. This is lifelong condition and the way it is handled in the clinic is superb. Thank you!
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - My husband was in inpatient for over 3 weeks and the ward facilities were great, clean, food was good and the staff were great. He felt safe and secure and it was great for a family visit because we didn't feel as if we were disturbing anyone else. Thank you for such great care
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Recently had a bi lateral hip replacement completed by Mr Andy Stark. What an amazing consultant he is as were additions staff, theatre staff, nurses, physios and occupational Therapy. If anyone out there is worried about getting this procedure then don't be. They are in excellent hands. I am 1 week post op and my hip pain is completely gone.
Dental Hospital - Had caused to access NHS 24 due to toothache, they made me an appointment at the dental hospital, I was seen by Mr Abishek Singh. What a great service. Mr Singh was wonderful. He was considerate; involved me in my care and best of all cured my toothache. Only sorry I didn't get the name of the dental nurse who was also great
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow, Cardiology - having just spent some time in the cardiology ward I wanted to say a big thanks to all the staff for the kindness shown to me they were all lovely
Royal Alexandra Hospital, Gastroenterology - My feedback relates to the excellent care and service which I received from Dr Naismith and the IBD nursing team (Allan & Seth) In particular Allan & Seth are first class exponents of how to identify and deliver exceptional patient care through: 1) Listening carefully to patients 2) Taking time to genuinely understand and inform 3) Making good informed decisions based on knowledge and careful assessment of the patients conditions 4) Speedy response to email or phone communications 5) Giving the patient the genuine impression that they come first and confirming that with their consistent actions This team are a great example of a joined up unit in the NHS

Glasgow Royal Infirmary - Good Morning, My husband and I were visiting your lovely city earlier this week when my husband suddenly fell ill very early Wednesday morning. We felt he needed to be seen by a physician so went to the A& E department at the Royal Glasgow Infirmary. I found the department to be very well staffed and the staff incredibly kind and helpful. My husband was quickly seen and assessed and his problem resolved. We were finished within an hour and able to travel back to the residence we were staying at. I want to tell the staff many thanks to them and as a retired RN (US), to wish them all well. Best regards.
Vale of Leven District General Hospital - This is the first hospital where I have been taken on time and it was much appreciated. I had an appointment for orthopaedics. Everyone were pleasant and congratulate them all.
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Thank you to all at 1c. Today at 1pm I lost my dad. Everyone who helped my family in our time of sadness I thank you very much. Their care and compassion was outstanding and we thank you.
Royal Hospital for Children - I would just like to say how amazing I found your staff and the excellent care and treatment my child received after being transferred from our local hospital. As soon as we arrived until the day we left 2 weeks later my daughter was well looked after. Surgeon Mairi Steven literally saved my child's life and I will always be grateful. The service we received in ward 2c was outstanding and far superior to the terrible experience we had in our local hospital. Staff listened to what we were concerned about, treated my child and I with compassion and respect and were on top of all her health needs. Thank you for the excellent service you provide!
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - Would like to thank Mr G Grayson, for his patience, expert knowledge in his field and overall listening, and reassurance. As I was very unsure about procedures and overall expectations re imaging Thank you 😊
Royal Alexandra Hospital - All too often we read of complaints regarding waiting times and concerns re care at hospitals and doctor's surgeries. I feel therefore that it is only right to praise when outstanding care and compassion are given. I spilled boiling water on my neck and chest after tripping at nine o clock. After twenty minutes I went to the chemist. The staff at Abbey Chemist Lonend were so helpful and empathetic putting gel on my burns, not accepting any payment and telling me to go to hospital. On arrival at RAH I was seen immediately by a wonderful caring triage nurse who put a temporary dressing on. I was then seen by another nurse and consultant who were professional, compassionate and most caring. I was discharged with dressings on my burns and told to go to doctors on Friday. On telephoning King Street Surgery again I was shown only kindness and compassion and appointment made for Friday morning. I was home by 1130 The standard of care and empathy shown by everyone concerned was exemplary. We are indeed lucky in Paisley to have such wonderful facilities with amazing staff who show they care, sometimes in very difficult circumstances and that we can access free an excellent National Health Service Please thank those concerned at the RAH Thank you Sent from my iPad
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I was in Glasgow Royal Infirmary last year for an emergency operation, the treatment and post op recovery care I received was second to none, and I can't praise the staff within the hospital highly enough, they are all highly professional, dedicated and caring people.
Royal Alexandra Hospital - Having been admitted as an emergency patient with heart problems I was incredibly impressed at the level of patient care and treatment that I received. All medical staff were calming, reassuring and explained all steps of my treatments throughout my stay. All staff whether medical or non-medical were friendly, helpful, efficient and caring. Whilst a hospital is not a place that one wishes to be, my experience was made much easier by the people at RAH Paisley. Thank you!
Glasgow Royal Infirmary - I was admitted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary in November 2015 with an abdominal bleed. After surgery I was transferred to Intensive Care where I spent three weeks. During this time I suffered a cardiac arrest. My wife and daughter said that the care I received in ICU was excellent and that they were treated very well when visiting. I subsequently spent 17 days in Ward 6 where I was very well looked after. I had not realised how hard nurses work. I then went to Lightburn Hospital for rehabilitation, as my walking was not at all good. I spent 11 days in Ward 4 in Lightburn and found the days long and depressing. However, the ward staff were very helpful and caring. The physiotherapy, which was my reason for choosing to go to Lightburn, was excellent and quickly improved my walking. To sum up, I am extremely grateful to the staff in ICU for their care of me, although I was not aware of it at the time. I was well cared for in Ward 6. Although I did not enjoy my stay in Lightburn, I appreciate the care from the ward staff and the excellent physiotherapists. I also had a swallow problem, caused by the tubes. I have had good follow-up from Speech and Language Therapy and this problem was resolved.
Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow - I would like to thank, (Doctors/Consultants) Vesey, Hussy and Blackwood (Hope spellings are correct) for the surgery I received (Blood Clot), also all the Staff, Auxillary and Trainees for their professionalism and proficiency at Ward 105, also Emma (Don’t know her second name) that arranged for district nurse to attend to my wound also other little helpful things..Once again thank you
Victoria Hospital (New) - Reception staff lovely. Checked me in no problem, nice attitude. Clinic staff (H) equally lovely, very caring. As was my first visit wasn't sure what to expect, but staff put me at ease. Dr Spowart, what can I say, made me feel totally at ease, asked if I minded a student being present, which was no problem. Appointment time was bang on, no delays, allowing me to resume my work afterwards. Thank You.
Royal Hospital for Children - Staff were all great but the housekeeper (Pauline?) on the ward for me was amazing she went over and above her duties in my eyes and made our visit to day surgery that little more pleasant. I feel people like her and her cheeriness should be brought to light and I would like her bosses to know they have a diamond member of staff on their team.
