"It is hugely important for our individual directorates and partnerships to give local recognition to those who are leading the way to deliver improved patient services and improve our effectiveness. That’s why I am delighted at the ongoing success of our FTFT Staff Awards.
During the past couple of months local teams have selected and presented more than 80 awards under the five FTFT categories: Our Patients; Our People; Our Leaders; Our Resources; and Our Culture.
These awards represent a huge amount of effort by our staff to improve the care and services we deliver. Featuring strongly are members of staff who continue to improve the quality of both our acute care and the services and care provided by our Health & Social Care Partnerships, all undertaken in a climate of particularly difficult financial challenge.
Tonight is the culmination of the 2016 FTFT awards when each of those directorates and partnerships will identify their local overall FTFT champions. I know you will all join me in applauding every one of them as they are called to the stage to receive their well deserved trophy."
