The community out-patient teams provide assessments and treatment plans for children and their families. Advice and consultation is offered to services within health and to other professional agencies working with children and their families. The child Community Teams work with children up to the age of 12 with a wide range of complex emotional and behavioural problems. The Adolescent Community Teams work with young people age between 12 and 18 years
who are in need of professional assistance due to a mental health problem.
Children & young people, and their families can be referred by a range of health professionals, Social Workers, Educational Psychologists and School Nurses.

Everyone who calls will speak to a qualified sexual health nurse who will ascertain what service is required. Anyone requiring urgent care will be seen the same day or next day. Patients with non-urgent conditions will be booked an appointment in a scheduled service.

NHSGGC Orthotic Service provides assessment of the whole body for biomechanical problems and if appropriate may prescribe, measure, fit and review an Orthosis which is a body worn device which may also be called a ‘brace’ or ‘splint’.
