Stakeholder Reference Group

Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 1

The first Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Tuesday 20th September. We presented to them; our proposal to improve rehabilitation for the elderly in North Glasgow; and how we intend to inform and engage with wider stakeholders. Their initial thoughts, questions and contributions were gratefully received. With their ongoing input we will develop and widely publicise a draft leaflet and host events to engage more widely with the public. A copy of the Meeting Notes, the Presentation and our Draft Involvement and Communication Plan are available to view or download in our Documents Page. An officer from the Scottish Health Council was in attendance to provide feedback about the meeting.

Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 2

The second Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Wednesday 12 October. We worked on the content of the Information Leaflet for the proposal and agreed the format of the Public Events. We also discussed the work we are doing looking travel and accessibility for the proposal. The meeting finished with some of the Public Partners visiting one of the wards, day hospital and other facilities at Stobhill Hospital related to the proposal. Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 3

The third Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Thursday 17 November. We worked on reviewing the public events and the feedback heard through the engagement process to date. Public partners were then asked to consider the proposal, the engagement undertaken and feedback heard, and to use their experience and local knowledge to review options to meet the service model principles. They agreed the options and assessment criteria presented at the events and tabled at the meeting were fully understood and their performance had been looked at satisfactorily against the criteria. Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 4

The fourth Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Thursday 22 December. We reviewed the Informing and Engaging process and all agreed that the feedback report was an accurate record of the work done. The group then discussed the approach that could be taken to the formal public consultation, including who was needed to undertake an Options Appraisal scoring exercise. It was agreed that some additional Public Partners to represent the broad catchment area were required to do this and that it would be undertaken early in the New Year to develop the preferred options for consultation. Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 5

The fifth Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Thursday 26 January 2017. We carried out an Options Appraisal exercise to scrutinise, discuss and score the the options to determine the preferred options for consultation. The group also discussed and agreed the draft consultation plan and how this would be revised throughout the process to respond to feedback and requests. There was also discussion about the consultation materials and the type of information required to communicate widely with stakeholders. The public Partners stressed that the Summary Consultation Leaflet needed to be short and easy to understand telling people where to get more information and how they can give their feedback. Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 6

The sixth Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place Friday 17 March 2017. We discussed the consultation materials and information available and asked the Public Partners if they felt these were accessible and easy to understand. All were happy with range of materials and the efforts made to publicise them. There was also discussion about engagement and communication undertaken with staff potentially affected by the proposal to update Public Partners. The group then discussed the proposed format and content for the upcoming public event to agree how best to engage and provided opportunity for stakeholders to feedback. Stakeholder Reference Group Meeting 7

The seventh Stakeholder Reference Group meeting took place 26 April 2017. We reviewed the public consultation event were initial feedback and evaluation was largely positive. Participants had felt the format and content worked well and that they had opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. We asked the Public Partners if they felt there was anything else we could do to publicise the consultation or if any other information or materials were required. All said that that the consultation programme had been extensive and feedback they had personally was positive. We discussed the next steps and how the consultation would be reported to the Board to make a decision on whether to proceed later in the year and the outcome would be communicated widely.
