In November 2007 a number of the existing services moved into the UKs most revolutionary mental health hospital. The state-of-the-art 19m new Gartnavel Royal Hospital has transformed inpatient care and made Glasgow a centre of excellence for the delivery of mental health care.

Some of the newer wards in the existing Gartnavel Royal Hospital will be upgraded so that they can continue to be used to deliver a range of health services.
