Concept for
care of the elderly
On 6th November a new day hospital opened within
the Royal Alexandra Hospital and let its first patients in.
This day hospital for the care of the elderly was to allow for
a more flexible response to the requirements of individual patients
and out patient multidisciplinary assessment. Its
primary functions were to assist rehabilitation and assessment,
which proved to be a useful tool in meeting healthcare needs
of the elderly in the Renfrew district.
