A Significant Medical History

Diamond Anniversary Celebration Show, 5th July 2008

Our main celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the NHS in Greater Glasgow and Clyde was a feature packed event hosted by Radio Clyde presenter Gina McKie, and took place on the 5th July in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

As well as presentations of the Diamond Awards, there were heart-warming and inspirational patient stories, exhibition areas, slideshows, archive photographs, music from the NHSGGC Choir, staff dressed in uniforms from years gone by, free goodies, a boogie bus outside, and more! Truly something for everyone.

Video Clips

Thanks to Archie Armstrong, Ann Armstrong and John Gilbertson of "The Hospital Broadcasting Service" for capturing the day's events on video.

These clips are all in WMV format and will require a compatible player, such as Windows Media Player, or Flip4Mac for Apple Mac.
