Fair - 6th June
An anniversary float will be decorated to take part in the traditional
Fair parade with NHS staff accompanying to join in the fun.
East Dunbartonshire CHP
The local library service are creating a display board
around the three areas of the CHP which will focus on the NHS
in East Dunbartonshire over the last 60 years. On display from
late June.
Painting competition for primary school children
on a health topic. The winning entry will be put up in the new
KICC building when it opens next year. This will be judged the
last week of June.
Writing competition for people over 65 on their memories of the
NHS. We are looking for entries of under 300 words in any written
form and style of your choosing. Some of the entries will be used
in the display above and will be included in the bulletin descibed
below. The winner will receive a food hamper and see their work
published in the anniversary bulletin. Closing date 13th June

22nd June - Sponsored walk / treasure hunt for staff and their
families from Townhead Clinic to Lennoxtown Clinic which will
raise money for Kidney Research.
'Special Edition' CHP Bulletin with articles about the history,
stories from the writing compeition, 'then and now' from different
clinical groups etc.

Rutherglen & Cambuslang, 30th June for
1 week
Local secondary pupils, the Public Partnership Forum, community
contributors and local librarians are involved in developing a
Time Zone display. Presented during mid June-July 2008 in
Rutherglen Primary Care Centre the Time Zone will represent changes
in local lifestyle and health care over the last 60 years.

The Diamond Anniversary Show. A feature packed
event hosted by Radio Clyde presenter Gina McKie. As well as presentations
of the diamond awards, there will be heart-warming & inspirational
patient stories, archive photographs, music from the NHSGGC Choir,
staff dressed in uniforms from years gone by, free goodies, a
boogie bus outside, etc - something for everyone!
