Universal Feedback: A message from Lorna!

Why Universal Feedback?

NHSGGC is committed to giving all of our patients the opportunity to tell us about their experience of our health services.

One of the main ways we are doing this in inpatient wards is through Universal Feedback, which is a simple card given out to patients on the day of their discharge asking one question about the patients’ experience as a whole.

How likely are you to recommend our ward to friends or family if they needed similar care or treatment?

These cards give us a high level indicator of how we are performing in the eyes of our patients and provide us with key information about the areas where we need to improve, but also what we are doing well.

In September 2015 97% of our patients told us that they would be likely to recommend our services. The most overwhelming theme emerging from the comments we have gathered from Universal Feedback has been praise for our staff.

Staff are consistently seen as being professional, kind and caring and we can see this appreciation clearly on a monthly basis. A massive well done to all of you!
