Keeping up-to-date

The Library Network can help you stay up-to-date in your area of interest.

Our guide to full text has a quick guide to accessing full text journal articles from the Knowledge Network and other sources.

Current Awareness Bulletins (CABs) provide details of recent publications in specific subject areas. Emailed directly to your inbox, CABs are prepared personally by NHSGGC librarians and librarians from other Boards, and are available to all staff.

View the full list of CABs available from NHS Scotland.  Browse the topics, and sign up for individual titles.

You can sign up for NHSGGC CABs using our QUEST service at: www.quest.scot.nhs.uk. If you are using QUEST for the first time, you will need to create a membership record for yourself.  You can also use QUEST to sign up to receive journal contents pages and new article alerts.

Here are some useful resources for updates:

These are used to publish frequently updated information such as new research and publications.  Many professional organisations use them to keep readers up-to-date. Look for links on your favourite web sites and resources and sign up for updates. Library staff are happy to give advice on email alerts and keeping up to date.
