HIV Anti Stigma - via Learn pro

Module Aim: To support staff to work in a person-centred, anti-discriminatory way. Following completion of this module, staff will

  • be better informed about HIV
  • be able to outline the role stigma plays in relation to attitudes towards patients living with HIV
  • be aware of the effect of stigma and the impact on patients of stigmatising practice
  • be confident of what constitutes anti-discriminatory, inequalities sensitive practice and their responsibility to deliver it
  • know where to find information on HIV, stigma and discrimination

August, 2016 Waverley Care unveil a new free learning resource which is aimed specifically at staff working within general practice.

Caring Conversations into Practice is an interactive tool that will help deliver person-centred conversations in general practice settings across Scotland. Person-centred conversations are non-stigmatising conversations, so a real priority for our work with people living with HIV and Hepatitis C.

National Aids Trust (NAT)

The National Aids Trust (NAT) provides e-Learning for health and social care workers. NAT states:
