John Legg became a Non-Executive member of the NHS Board on 1st July 2016.
John has over 40 years experience in public service during which he worked in community development, fieldwork teaching, social care and social enterprise. Trained at Strathclyde University he has an MPhil in Urban Government and extensive experience in community regeneration. John held a number of senior operational and strategic management posts in Social Work including Head of Service. As a former Director of RNIB Scotland he developed, in partnership with voluntary, health and local government, a range of award winning services for people living with a sensory loss. Currently he works with several voluntary organisations on an unpaid basis.
John brings to the Board a commitment to reducing inequality and a strong track record in change management, partnership working, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning.
