Do you live in the Elderpark/Govan area and have a baby aged six months and under? Then the newly re-launched Best Start Baby Club could be for you.

Meeting every Friday at Elderpark Library, Langlands Road, Elderpark, the group runs from 11am to 12.30pm and is open to all parents with babies aged six months and under. Please note this group is not suitable for older babies and toddlers.

Not only is the group a great way to meet other parents with babies of a similar age, but there will be a rolling programme of information for parents including sessions on:
• First Aid
• Fire Safety
• Oral (dental) health
• Parenting
• Play and Development
• Hand Massage

Plus support for breastfeeding will also be available. There is also a Best Start Baby Club running at Pollok Library, Pollok Civic Realm on Thursdays from 11.30-1pm.

For more information, parents should speak to their health visitor.

Lesleyann Currie, Infant Feeding Adviser for Glasgow City Community Health Care Partnership (South Sector), said: “This is a great way for parents to meet others, have a chat and find out more about a range of subjects that will support them in bringing up their children.

“It’s open to all mums and dads with babies under six months and we hope to see as many of you there as possible. Please don’t feel shy. Come and join us.”
