Top oral health professionals from the Celtic nations are gathering in Glasgow on Friday, October 30th for one of the most prestigious conferences in their professional calendar.
Clinicians, senior managers and policy makers from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, are attending the Celtic Dental Benchmarking Group conference which is being hosted by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Oral Health Directorate.
It is an annual event that brings together senior professionals involved in undergraduate dental education to discuss areas of common interest.
Topics to be covered include “Ethics and Professionalism”, “Fitness to Practice” and “Waiting Times and Student Treatments.”
Kevin Hill, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s Director of Oral Health will give a presentation covering how the NHS works alongside the University of Glasgow to provide patient care and teaching for undergraduate dental students.
Mr Hill said: “We are delighted to be hosting this major event bringing together some of the Celtic nations’ top oral health specialists enabling us to share new ideas and best practice.
“It is also an excellent opportunity for us to showcase some of the excellent work which is being carried out in our own Board.”
