NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Will Start Changes Necessary to Implement the New Car Parking Guidance

January 18, 2008 12:17 PM

The Scottish Government confirmed that new guidance has been issued to NHS Boards about provision of hospital car parking.
In line with the new guidance, NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde will immediately start making the changes necessary to limit the maximum charge at hospital car parks to £3.00.
We have already begun the process of preparing new signage and re-programming ticketing machines.  We will do this as quickly as possible but will certainly complete the process by the end of February at the latest.
A local review of our car parking policy  is underway and will ensure that the new national guidance is reflected in the review and in the further implementation of our car parking policy. The primary focus of the policy remains to ensure that our patients and their relatives have priority access to car parking on our hospital sites.
