FINDING OUT MORE ABOUT FREEDOM OF INFO IN NHS GREATER GLASGOW

August 31, 2004 9:00 AM

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 is changing the laws about making information publicly available.
So because people will have new rights on accessing information through the act (which is officially introduced on January 1, 2005) the Publication Scheme detailing what is available can be downloaded from this website as from tomorrow (Wednesday).
In short, NHS Scotland produced a model that all the country's NHS Boards could then customise. Each one had to produce a Publication Scheme like this and have it approved by the Scottish Information Commissioner.
Our Scheme details:

* the categories of information that NHS Greater Glasgow publishes
* the way this information is published
* details of any changes
To view the Publication Scheme, click on the Freedom of Information section of this website, or visit www.nhsgg.org.uk/foi.
