Staff Communications

Every one of us plays an important role in making sure Scotland’s largest health board provides the best possible health services to 1.2 million local residents and those we see through specialist regional services to more than half the country's population.

We make up around a quarter of the workforce in NHS Scotland so it’s vitally important that we keep you fully up to date on all the great work you do for our patients.

As your Corporate Communications department we’re dedicated to making sure that news reaches you in a number of ways.

We do this using our award winning media channels from Staff Newsletter to Core Briefs to make sure you get the news in a way that suits you.

Core Briefs are one of the best ways of sharing important information with staff. They allow us to send you information on subjects such as Scottish Government funding for services, good news stories or explain our response to criticism of board services.

If you have anything you believe is important for staff to see, please contact our Internal Communications team who will be able to advise you on the best way to share your news.

Every day in the NHS, dedicated teams and individuals go to extraordinary lengths to provide exceptional care for people who use our health services and our Chairman’s Awards are our way of rewarding that dedication.

They are a brilliant opportunity to shine a light on someone you know who goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide exceptional care and support.

The awards also recognise services or projects that have made an exceptional contribution to NHSGGC and an outstanding difference to the care and wellbeing of our patients, their carers or our staff.
